Shark Navigator Floorhead Blockage Fix (Brush Area Suction Loss)

Shark Navigator Floorhead Blockage fixed

If suction feels strong at the hose but weak on the floor, the blockage is likely inside the floorhead.

This commonly happens after vacuuming:

  • Fabric items
  • Paper products
  • Hair ties

The floor nozzle contains narrow intake tunnels. Debris can lodge behind the brush roll and restrict airflow.

How to Diagnose

  1. Detach the wand and test suction directly.
  2. If suction is strong → the floorhead is restricted.
  3. Flip the vacuum over and inspect the brush area.

Use a flashlight to look inside the intake opening.

Clearing the Blockage

Use:

  • A wooden stick
  • Flexible plastic rod
  • Long zip tie

Avoid sharp tools.

Also check:

  • Side suction ports
  • Elbow joints
  • Brush roll chamber

If airflow issues continue, follow the complete system inspection guide.
