Filters are the number one reason Shark Navigator vacuums lose suction over time.
Your model typically includes:
- Foam filter
- Felt filter
- HEPA exhaust filter
Washing Schedule
For normal homes:
- Wash foam and felt filters every 30 days
For daily use homes (pets, babies):
- Wash every 2–3 weeks
Always:
- Rinse with warm water only
- No soap
- Air dry 24–48 hours
Never reinstall damp filters.
When to Replace Filters
Replace if:
- Over 12 months old
- Torn or misshaped
- Suction doesn’t improve after washing
- Persistent odor remains
HEPA filters usually require annual replacement.
If suction improves temporarily after washing but drops again quickly, replacement is likely necessary.
